Mary Ermel — Piano
Mary Ermel, a native of Colorado, earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from North Dakota State University. Reflecting her interest in the science of teaching and learning, Dr. Ermel also holds a Master of Education from the University of Sioux Falls.
Megan Sandison — Piano
Megan Sandison, from Spirit Lake, IA, is in her fourth year of study at South Dakota State University. She is studying Music Entrepreneurship and General Music with a focus in piano. She has special interests in piano pedagogy and music management. Megan is also a proud member of the SDSU Wind Symphony and is the accompanist for the SDSU Statesmen Choir.
Emily Hagedorn — Piano
Emily Hagedorn is from Brookings, SD, and graduated from Brookings High School in 2025. She has always had a passion for music, whether it’s playing piano or singing. Emily loves golfing and fishing in the summer and has been training year round in taekwondo for 8+ years. Regarding her passion for music, she has always loved teaching and loves watching people grow and succeed.
Wyatt Kruger — Piano
Wyatt Kruger, originally from Watertown, has been studying Music Education at South Dakota State University for the last three years. He plans to continue teaching in South Dakota once he graduates. Wyatt loves playing piano for his church as well as playing the violin in SDSU’s Civic Orchestra in an effort to further his musical experience.
